Hello,
after moving my 431x from a network to another, i think that it takes a static ip on its own.
I can’t find it on the network (qfinder, network command on linux, router admin…)
The NAS seems to be internet connected, because i receive email (alert, warning)
I think it would be easier to connect it directly from my PC to one of its network cards and find QTS.
My aim is to find its IP address to connect to Web admin and include it in my network.
Could you help me to do this? I’d be very grateful
Regard.
When you use a Ethernet cable to connect NAS/PC directly without any other devices, the Qfinder might able to locate the NAS and its IP. Sometime restart Qfinder may help because it will trigger a refresh of the listed devices.
You could just do a 3 second reset to return it to DHCP
As mentioned, the easiest option is likely to reset so that it defaults back to DHCP.
However, if you know the subnet that was used on the last network, you should also be able to manually set the IP address on your PC to be in that subnet and that should allow you to access the NAS to reconfigure it.
It may be possible to do that without any other changes, ir worst case, connect driectly between the NAS and PC.
Based on our past experience, this connection issue could be due to your NAS and PC being on different network segments.
One common scenario is when devices are moved, causing one device (like your NAS) to be connected directly to the modem, while the other (your PC) is connected under a Wi-Fi router.
We suggest you first ensure both devices are on the same network segment. For instance, try connecting both devices to the same router and then use Qfinder to see if that resolves the issue.
It worked, thank you
Have a nice week-end
I had to reset (3 second button) and it worked.
Thank you for your answer
