Huge vmdk files issue

I have esxi vm folder in my QNAP host ( but more than 10 TB) , can I run it inside virtualization station 4.0 in QTSHero. I tried to import it , but import process stuck . Shortly, my question is when VS4 import , is it converting vmdk files to its format , or will it use directly existing vmdks ( I told that they are huge files, can I use them directly ), in other words, in-place running is possible ?

Virtualization Station is very specific about which VMWare files/versions can be imported. Check in the FAQs

Also see this link:

You can import *.ova, *.ovf or *.vmx files to Virtualization Station.

*.ova, *.ovf: *.ova and *.ovf files are only supported by VMs exported from VirtualBox v4 and VMware ESXi 5.0.

*.vmx: *.vmx file is supported by VMs exported from VMWare Workstation 8/9.

Hi @NA9D Thanks for the information!

Hi @hertan
Please refer to the FAQ provided in the post above.
If you only have a .vmdk file, please first export the virtual machine as a .ova or .ovf using VMware vSphere or Workstation. This will ensure compatibility before you import it into Virtualization Station.
Thanks!
