I would like to request considering support for QXG-10G2SF-X710 for the TS-264

I would like to ask you to consider supporting the QXG-10G2SF-X710 for the TS-264 or offer a card with similar features without active cooling.

You could just put a single 10GbE card in it, the Gen3 8x vs the existing Gen3 x1 would throttle the bandwidth anyways to single 10GbE speeds.(let alone the NAS itself)

According to the compatibility list (Compatibility List - QNAP), the TS-264 is compatible with the SFP+ interface card QXG-10G2SF-NXE for 10G.

However, as dolbyman mentioned, you will likely encounter an insufficient total bandwidth situation.

One SFP+ port would be sufficient, but most importantly, I’d prefer passive cooling only.

Check the available options here

QXG-10G1T is passive cooled

But it doesn’t have SFP+ if I want fiber.

Now that you said it, now we know (you did not specify the absolute need for SFP+ before)

I do not see any single port SFP+ cards from QNAP

Maybe QNAP could green-light some 3rd party products (they do occasionally endorse/test 3rd party adapters)

I use an Intel 82599ES on my TS-873A. It is dual port SFP+ but it works great. You can get these on eBay for $30 to $40.
