I have never heard of Linux Zorin. I don’t know if there is a Qfinder version that supports that distribution. Is it based on a more common distribution like Ubuntu or Debian?
But you don’t really need Qfinder anyhow. If you have the IP address of your NAS, then that’s all you need
Thanks for your quick response. As far as I know it is based upon UBUNTU / DEBIAN.
Zorin OS is a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu with both free and paid versions. It uses a GNOME and XFCE 4 desktop environment by default, although the desktop is heavily customized for users more familiar with Windows and macOS (Source: Wikipedia)
I find it a very smooth and easy / user friendly product. Still new, but I have ‘played’ with a few other distros, including UBUNTU, and so far ZORIN is my favourite.
Please explain to a complete novice what you mean with this and what I need to do to see the stuff I have on my NAS. I do have the IP address.
So to access the NAS then just type:
Into your browser where IPAddress is the IP address of the NAS. That is all you need. And if you want to mount network shares you should be able to see the NAS in the “network” section of the file explorer on your Linux machine.
Thank you very much!

As explained by @NA9D are you able to access the NAS using the NAS by using IP address directly? Would like to confirm. Thank you
Dear @van_Staden
Kindly check your personal inbox in this community portal, we would like to request some more information from you about this case.
Thank you
Good morning,
Apologies for lack of response. I am currently due to circumstances not able to test the solution. As soon as I can do, I will revert back with results.
Many thanks for following up.
Kind regards, Johann.
A bit late, but the Linux version of the Qfinder Pro installer can fail if the Linux OS has a name other than “Ubuntu”. Changing the “Pretty Name” in the system file /etc/os_release file may cure the issue. i.e. PRETTY_NAME=“Ubuntu 22.1”. Make sure you change it back later.
