IPv6 address as a web proxy

I am using a TS-h1677AXU-RP running QuTS hiro h6.0.1.3564 Build 20260723. I’d remove IPv4 addresses as much as possible, and one of the issues I have is that IPv6 address can’t be specified in the web proxy configuration. I’d appreciate if QNAP will support IPv6 proxy in future QTS/QuTS hiro releases.

Thank you for the feedback regarding IPv6 support.

Could you please help us confirm which proxy setting you’re referring to?

  1. Control Panel > Network & File Services > Network Access > Proxy — this is where the NAS acts as a client and connects to your outbound proxy server. This should currently accept an IPv6 address.
  2. Proxy Server (the Squid-based QPKG from App Center) — this is where the NAS itself acts as a proxy server for other devices on your network.

If it’s option 1 and you’re still seeing an issue, could you share a screenshot of the error or behavior you’re seeing when entering the IPv6 address? This will help us route it to the right team for investigation.
