IrownWolf Pro 32TB w/ TS-1655 - IHM not working

Hi All,

Has anyone tested the new 32tb pro drive with their qnap?

I’ve installed and made a shared folder but it still says “IHM - not tested”. Latest QuTS Hero build. on TS-1655. Did Qnap enable this feature or not? I was positive IHM was supported…

Any ideas?

Isn’t that just the initial status of a new drive ?

Pretty sure a recent IronWolf drive I tested said the same

Actually I just played around with it and you can go into health tab of the drive and do an initial ihm test after 12+ power on hours or so… It will say -not enough data points if it was run less than that. I haven’t reached that yet, but will try that later.

It also automatically schedules an ihm test for the hdd drives around 3:30 AM every day - not sure if it’s good to run it daily or not, but that as a default setting.

P.S. Update - it worked after 12 hours of being online. It doesn’t work earlier as there are not enough data points for it to check.

Hello

Currently, IHM’s test is scheduled to run automatically at 3:30 AM daily. If it’s a newly installed hard drive, you can choose to manually run the test (press the Test button) or wait for it to complete its scheduled test the following day.
