Can a Remote Disk created at the NAS with the ISCSI LUN work in conjunction with the unique Windows ISCSI initiator to access the same LUN?
The reason is that only through a Remote disk can the NAS hosting the ISCSI LUN see the content of the LUN and create a backup using HBS 3.
You would have to do backups via the client, or make sure that the client is disconnected from the LUN before the NAS accesses it.
You can also leverage LUN snapshot backups

Always disclose NAS model and firmware so we know if certain features even exist for whatever model you have.
Thanks for the reply.
Is the snapshot the same as a backup?
If my drive dies, can I restore the content of the ISCSI from a snapshot residing in my second NAS (the one that keeps a copy of my Main NAS)?
I need to understand this well because if I have a drive/system failure, I need to be sure that my backup/snapshot can completely restore my data.
Can you please explain to me the limitations of those snapshots?
I heard that snapshots need an initial backup and is more used to handle deleted files and not the complete LUN.
Yes, LUN snapshot backups can be restored
