can't access my NAS web interface

Hello everyone,

maybe someone can help me.

I have a NAS and I can access it via Mac Finder, which means I can create folders, move files, open them—everything works. The NAS is also detected via Qfinder Pro. However, when I try to access the web interface from there, I get to the login window, which also shows the name of my NAS, but the login no longer works.

I think it’s because the NAS was originally registered with one IP address, and now, due to adjustments in my home network, it has a different IP address. That’s why my login no longer matches. The old URL for the web interface and the new one are now different, and the login doesn’t work on the new URL, so I can’t log in or access my NAS through the web interface.

This wasn’t really a problem until now, but suddenly I can no longer access my NAS with Plex. Probably the Plex Media Server on the NAS has stopped working, and I can’t update it because I have no access to the web interface. Now I have to do something, but I don’t know what to do.

When I click on my QNAP account on MYQNAPCLOUD (MyQNAPCloud) and check the information for my NAS, it still shows the old IP address for the device, not the new one. But I don’t know how I can change it.

So many questions… I hope I was able to explain my problem somewhat clearly. It would be great if someone could help me.

The login doesn’t care whether or from which IP you’re accessing it.

If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it using the 3-second reset. What’s important is your NAS model and, most importantly, the firmware version.
