MCP assistant with Claude problems with MacOS 26.3.1

Anyone else have notice?

Claude connection to MCP assistant does not work and Claude explains:

Yes, leave everything as it is — your setup is correct:

  • :white_check_mark: claude_desktop_config.json is correct

  • :white_check_mark: qmcp is in the right place with the right permissions

  • :white_check_mark: NAS is reachable and credentials work

  • :white_check_mark: MCP Assistant is running on the NAS

The only issue is a Claude Desktop bug where sandboxed child processes can’t access the local network on macOS. This is out of your control.

What to do:

  1. Report it to Anthropic — click the thumbs down on any message in Claude Desktop and describe the issue (REPORTED)

Can confirm I’m also seeing this. It’s very frustrating. I thought I was doing something wrong until I saw your post.
