Thanks a lot! The downgrade worked just fine. As soon as I’ve installed, the DLNA server showed up in the clients (e.g. VLC)

Just thinking to the average end user… but QNap is probably targeting the geek community and not actual end users
For the “official” policy, you’ll need to ask QNAP.
Better to keep a copy of the zip file somewhere on your NAS, rather than hope the link to the old version remains usable.

I did not encounter that DLNA Server was not displayed correctly in version 500.1.1.13 and the team is trying to reproduce this, thanks for you let us know this.

Unfortunately the effect was actually clear
I’ve removed and reinstalled (rebooted etc etc) a few time but onky reinstalling an older version solved.

Here the same. but i’ve seen that the new devices wont be allowed automatically even if the flag is on " Newly discovered devices are automatically allowed to connect to DLNA Media Server."
I need to flag them manually everytime. Then i can see DLNA on them.

I have the same issue on my TS-233. Can someone point me to a compatible version of the plugin for my QNAP, so I can downgrade to the .1.1.12 version?

Thank you. Reverting to this version has solved the issue on my part. As much as I understand this update was made to ensure security, it seems halfbaked and should be massively rolled back on your part and reimplemented only when this is solved.
In my situation, connecting with all my streaming devices was made impossible with this update (VLC on my iPhone and on my Amazon Fire Stick, Multimedia app on my PS4). All of these devices seem not to recognize the server on the network (I can still connect through SMB). These devices don’t show up in the media streaming add-on page where it was said they could be authorized (but my Sonos speaker and my Marantz AV receiver would show up).
If you need any more info on the problem so the bug can be ironed out, I’ll be glad to help.
Same problem here: TS-453A, since the update, media server can’t be found. Manual rollback to 500.1.1.12 and several restarts fixed the issue.
Now the question remains — when will QNAP fix the problem?
