I have mainly used QNAP devices to perform backups in business environments in a simple and automatic way.
On the NAS, I connect a shared folder from the server, from which the necessary information is extracted to back up the servers. In this way, the NAS centralizes and automates backups without the need for complex configurations.
One of the tools I use the most is NetBak Replicator, which allows for very simple and reliable backups of users’ computers. In addition, I complement these backups with copies from the NAS to other servers, increasing the security of the information.
I also use snapshots to maintain a backup history, which makes it easier to recover data in case of accidental deletions, human errors, or security incidents.
What I value most about QNAP is the ease of configuration and that, even when using entry-level NAS devices, it is possible to implement robust and professional backup solutions for businesses.
