Migrating TS-419PII Qts 4.3.3.2784 to TS832PX QTS 5.2.8.3332

Yes, I realize the 419 is well past EOL. I’m trying to pull the data before it fails completely. Current process is simple but tedious:

  1. Download a file, folder, whatever that’s small enough for the 419 to handle it.
  2. Upload to a 12gb external hard drive usb connected to the 832.

This is taking ~forever. Any ideas?

  • Buy a larger HDD to backup to (backups need to be done BEFORE things go bad!)
  • Do the transfer via network

Actually, the main problem seems to be that the 419 is really, really slow. Will try the network thing, but I’m skeptical.
