Backing up with rsync from a distant server to the NAS.
The “Methods” button, which is described in the documentation, is missing!
Hence there is no way to exclude the transfer of some specific files, providing an error of the task.
Is it a matter of version? or did I miss the need of a given setting to get this important option?

What’s the firmare version?
Are you doing a Sync job or Backup job ?
It is a Sync job by rsync from a distant server to the local NAS.
I am not quite sure but I think this is a limitation of the Active Sync job from a remote rsync server.
Maybe someone else would be able to confirm that.
Did you try a “Backup” job instead?
Why not but the documentation explains, with pictures, that we just have to click on the Methods button (which is now not available under the same described circumstances). A matter of version ? Does someone have this icon visible ?

Different jobs may have different options amd limitations.
And I would not be surprised if the official documentation from QNAP was misleading.
I cannot try with a remote rsync server at the moment.
However there is no problem with other storage spaces like google drive.
OK Thanks. I gonna wait and use the old command line method to rsync between linux hosts and this NAS.
