NAS disconnecting from network

Can anyone help…… my mothers TS-233 keeps disconnecting from the network and stopping the malware, cloud and plex and throwing up notifications about the ram being full.

Any help is appreciated

Any app installed that could hog all RAM? What firmware is running?

I’ve seen this issue in a specific circumstance. I was trying to use Hybrid Mount to do a sync’d cloud space with my website using WebDav. The website has a ton of symlinks that are recursive and this threw Hybrid Mount into a tizzy. Never did get it to work correctly but I had instances where my memory ran out and shut stuff down (and I have 64 GB).

Are you doing something like this in the background?

Just the basic apps on setup. There is 500mb for system but I haven’t had a good look at the log to see what is causing the issue as im new to qnap. The firmware is 5.2.7.3297

And how much RAM is installed?

First thing to check is multimedia. If you don’t need it, disable it. Then go through all running apps to see what you actually need. Get rid of anything you don’t. Check the logs, why have us guess if you don’t investigate

How long has it been running? i.e. is this a new issue or a new install?

2gb, non swapable

I’ve uninstalled multimedia. I have owned it since October but I dont know the first time it shut down as my mother didn’t tell me. Upload through usb and file manager is slow and I cant send anything through the cloud from a different network but I can using the file manager on my phone but very slow. The quickest wat to transfer files is through my laptop using the mapped drive

How do I do that, sorry im new to qnap and only have pretty basic skills with computers and alike

Also no need to use a camera for screenshots… direct screengrabs have no issues with focus or moire patterns (a quick google should help with the OS of your choice)
