Hi All,
I am not sure if there is a solution to this, but i was hoping that NetBak (HDP) would be backward compatibility to Windows 7,
We have several such PCs that need to be backed-up , upgrading to windows 10 is not possible as there is certain software which no longer exisits.
Against all hope… i am still hoping there is a way to install the NetBak PC agent on Windows 7,
Can someone please help thanks.

not sure on NetBak but Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows (Free Edition) works on Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 or higher.

Netbak with backward compatibility would have been very good, we are already using Netback for win10 and win11 PCs,

from the link on their main website is states only Windows 10/11
and the startup guide states:
System requirements
NAS operating system:
QTS 4.5.4 or later
QuTS hero h4.5.4 or later
Hyper Data Protector 2.0 or later is installed and running on your QNAP NAS.
Windows PC operating system: Windows 10 or 11
Windows server operating system: Windows Server 2016, 2019, or 2022
I guess if you find a really old copy of netbak it may work. if its only a few PCs why not use the built in Windows 7 Backup utility or Veeam. both are simple enough to use. just point them to a share and thats it.
