Network interface configuration - 2 sets of IP info configured ?

Hi Group. I am purchasing a TS-832PXU NAS to be able to migrate data from 1 company to another. Is it possible to configure one of the onboard NIC interfaces with the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway of Company A and have this connected to the network so that i can copy data onto the NAS, and the 2nd interface configured with the IP information of Company B that is not connected? So that when i physically relocate the NAS to the new Company B premises, i can connect the interface configured with the IP info of Company B to the network and when i power it on it will be available on the network so that i can copy the data off ? Look forward to your responses

You can setup completely different configs on the 2 interfaces. By default they run individually until you set bonding on them. Not sure whether QNAP will allow you to change config while the interface is not connected though.

Just tested on mine.

If you set static you can setup anything even with the interface down.

Hi all. Thanks for by the responses. Very useful! I’ll give it a try
