Network Spped to NAS

Hi together,

I got a new notebook from HP (845 G10). The network speed to my NAS TS-859 Pro+ is 4 time slower than with my old PC from 2009.

The HP NB (WIn11 24H2) achieves max. 18MByte/s and the old PC (WIn11 23H2) 50MByte/s while copying a large file e.g. 1GB from the NAS to the local harddisk.

The topology is like this:

The NB and PC are connected to the same switch, the switch is connected to my internet router (Fritzbox 7490) and the NAS is connected to the router also.

A test with a direct connection between the HP NB and the NAS showed also 18Myte/s.

The network speed to my Gigablue Sat Receiver is with the HP NB OK, 400Mbit/s against 100Mbit/s shown within the task manager. Connection is made by FTP Protocol.

I assume there is an issue between the HP NB and the NAS.

Any idea what the issue could be ?

For your support thanks in advance.

Dirk

Hi together,

issue is closed.

Issue was the SMB encryption which is now always active since WIN11 24H2.

Solution is to add two registry entries.

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters\

32-Bit-DWORD Value RequireSecuritySignature = 0x0

Same entry for LanmanServer

Thanks.

Dirk
