Since updating Notification Center last night, all three of my NASs (TS-231K, TS-328 and TS-453Be) display the following error upon application launch:
“Unknown error occurred due to invalid operation or lack of required information.”
They also stopped generating notifications until after I rebooted them this morning. They’re all running the latest available firmware, which I also installed this morning in attempting to resolve the Notification Center error.

I see two different “latest” versions of Notification Center listed, both with the same July 30 release date:
v1.9.2.3139, which is what all three systems now have installed, and which seems to be obsolete per the version number, and
v2.1.0.3389, which from the recent-versions cadence I assume is actually the latest version
I’m guessing that the fact that I’m being served up an obsolete version of Notification Center for update/installation is the root cause of the error. QNAP, can you please fix this and/or otherwise respond with ideas asap?
Thanks, @SteveKo. What should we do for now? I’d suggest uninstalling it and then installing again, which “should” access the previous valid version, but although the new flawed version has now been pulled from the revision history:
It’s still available for download, so I suspect I’d just get it again if I went this route:
Note that my three NASs have unique Notification Center “build” versions; “arm_al” (the TS-231K), “arm_64” (the TS-328) and “x86_64” (the TS-453Be).

@SteveKo, thanks. However, when I do this I’m being offered v1.9.2.3110, dated May 16. It would seem that I should instead be offered v2.1.0.3356, dated July 16 (and the version that had been installed prior to this recent issue). Thoughts?
My apologies for the confusion. Just to clarify, Notification Center v2.1.x is currently only for QuTS hero 5.3, while Notification Center v1.9.x is for versions prior to 5.2.

@SteveKo, thank you. I’d gone ahead and successfully downgraded all three NASs last night before bed…and of course woke up this morning to find the fixed updated version of Notification Center now available (I upgraded all three NASs and they’re fine)
