Notification center to alert when CPU usage > 90%

Is there such a way to set up a notification? I only see triggers like warning, error, or info but don’t see a way to be notified if the cpu usage exceed a certain number.

Depending on your model NAS, you may be getting alerts every 5 seconds!

My TS-451 regularly sees its CPU usage go above 90!

I have a TS-453D. I’m thinking if I can set an alert for over 95% for 2 minutes that would work.

You may try to use AmizCloud. One function, called Metric Alert can setup the threshold of CPU utilization. This may meet your requirements.

This is the User Guide of AmizCloud

Thank you.

Thanks, will look into it. Is the part of the QNAP ecosystem that is free?

The only time I get a long lasting high CPU usage is when PLEX is scanning media. There is something wrong with their software. It should not do this. It goes away but still annoying when it happens.

Yes, it’s free and this is the product page.

I’m trying AMIZcloud now but I only see 5 minutes as the lowest I can go… am I missing something? Thanks

I think 2 minutes might give you a lot of alerts depending on which CPU core you have.
