[Official Update] Fix for QuMagie Backup / Uploading Failed Issue after v2.9.2

Hi everyone,

Thank you for reporting this issue. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the recent QuMagie backup failures (“Uploading failed / Waiting to retry”) after the latest update.

We are actively resolving this and have two solutions for you:

Solution 1: Wait for the upcoming v2.9.3 Update (Recommended)

We are currently pushing a new hotfix version (v2.9.3) to the App Center. This update will completely resolve the upload/backup issue. It will be available for download very shortly.

Solution 2: Quick Workaround (If you need to backup immediately)

If you cannot wait for the v2.9.3 update and need the backup feature to work right now, you can perform a clean reinstall of the current version:

  1. Go to App Center on your QNAP NAS.

  2. Find QuMagie and click Uninstall (Your existing photo library and indexing data will remain safe).

  3. Reinstall QuMagie v2.9.2 directly from the App Center. This will fetch the correct package and immediately restore the backup/upload functionality.
