Using Windows 11 to access NAS

I’ve setup this NAS primarily to organise photos, Qumagie is great, Qfile auto-uploads from several iPhones. I’m now trying to streamline the process and found that most of the uploaded photos, while visible in Qumagie, are not visible in Filestation. I’m keen to make sure I deal with the physical files as well as the Qumagie database as I currently have 58,000 photos and would like to ensure that I delete the no longer required ones so as to ensure efficient use of hard drive space.
A quick google has suggested the following (all of which I have tried to no avail) :
Check folder permissions
Support multimedia playback display
Refreshing file station
Re-indexing
There are some photos that have arrived in each month’s folders, but I haven’t, as yet, discovered what sets these ones apart.
Can anyone suggest anything else to try?
