Problems with QuTS hero 6.0.0.3500 and Samba/iSCSI

Hello everyone,

has anyone already installed the officially released QuTS Hero 6?
Trick question… I have :frowning:

Afterwards, SMB no longer listens on port 445—which means no more shares—and the iSCSI target loses its assigned LUN, so no more volume via iSCSI initiator.
I upgraded my TVS-h674 from 5.2.9.3410 to 6.0.0.3500.
After that, I also tried installing the same firmware manually—same issue.
Has anyone else noticed this and has an idea?

A ticket is already open but (so far) no fruitful solution.
I only want to do a factory reset with subsequent downgrade as a very last resort.

Starting from QuTShero h6.0, downgrading is no longer possible.

Sorry, that’s not correct.
A factory reset followed by installing a previous firmware is, in fact, a downgrade, and that does work.
What you mean is that with a downgrade, no data can be carried over anymore because of the changes to ZFS.

For me, a fresh install isn’t a downgrade.
