About QNAP NAS behavior during shutdown

[Applicable Model]
This is regarding the TS-231P model.

[Issue Occurrence]
When executing shutdown via Qmanager or Qfinder Pro, for some reason, instead of shutting down, the device restarts.

[Conditions of Occurrence] (Not confirmed)

  • Occurs once every two days
  • Happens when files are handled, such as creating files or changing file names
  • If nothing is touched, shutdown works normally

This is what is known so far.
I am using the latest version of QTS (5.2.3.3006) at the time of writing.

Has anyone resolved this same issue?

@SHERRY

It’s not a QNAP NAS, but I have experienced a similar issue in the past.
At that time, even though I was trying to shut it down, an error occurred during the shutdown process and it ended up force rebooting.

Most likely, without checking logs and such, it’s hard to determine the exact situation, so I recommend contacting QNAP support.

You can contact them here.
