QNAP NAS user experience sharing

Backup and Sync Enable Seamless Integration Between Mobile and PC
My QNAP NAS is the TS-453 Pro. As a general user, my main purpose for using QNAP NAS is backup and data transfer, especially integration between my mobile phone and computer. Through Qfile Pro, I set up automatic upload tasks, with uploaded file names set to the photo creation time, allowing my mobile photos to be uploaded to the NAS sync folder via background service while charging. When I turn on my computer, Qsync automatically syncs these photos to my PC, so I can further organize and archive them by shooting year and month. Additionally, I have set up a sync folder on my computer to ensure files are always accessible. When I’m out, Qfile Pro lets me easily search for files on the NAS from my phone, whether documents or photos, allowing me to quickly access them and greatly improving convenience for both life and work.

QuMagie Map Exploration Makes Photo Management More Intuitive
QuMagie offers location exploration and map-based photo search features, which are very practical for someone like me who enjoys recording life’s moments. I’m used to enabling my phone’s GPS to record shooting locations, allowing me to browse past photos directly on the map via QuMagie. When my phone storage is insufficient, I can upload photos to the NAS and then delete files from my phone to free up more space. Afterward, I can use the desktop version of QuMagie to explore previously taken photos on the map, whether travel memories or daily life moments, quickly reviewing them by location and making photo management more intuitive.

Needs Improvement—Speed of Searching Large Numbers of Files
Overall, QNAP NAS performs very well in backup and photo management, but there is still room for improvement in searching large numbers of files. Especially in QuMagie’s map exploration feature, when there are many photos, loading speed can sometimes be slow, requiring more time to display complete results. It may also be because the NAS is relatively old. If search efficiency can be improved, the overall user experience would be even smoother.

QNAP NAS is an essential tool for my daily backup, sync, and photo management. For users who need to integrate mobile and computer data, it is a highly recommended choice.
