Qnap netbak agent - Failed to install .Net runtime

Hello everyone,

I encountered an issue while installing the NetBak Agent. Please find the attached screenshot showing the problem.

I also tried following the solution mentioned on Reddit (link: https://www.reddit.com/r/qnap/comments/1ic9tpl/qnaps_netbak_pc_agent_failed_to_install_net/), but unfortunately, it didn’t work.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

As suggested on redddit open a ticket, the more people open tickets, the more pressure on QNAP to fix it…alternative is to use any other backup program.

The solution is to install the required libraries from this link Download .NET 8.0 (Linux, macOS, and Windows) , and everything will be properly configured.
