QNAP is pleased to participate in Pwn2Own Ireland 2025, taking place in Cork, Ireland.
The event is organized by Trend Micro’s Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) and brings together leading security researchers from around the world to identify and analyze vulnerabilities in various connected technologies—from smart home devices to NAS systems and SOHO routers. The total prize pool exceeds 2 million US dollars, including the highest single prize to date of 1 million US dollars for a zero-click attack on WhatsApp.
QNAP in the Spotlight
During the competition, several research teams focused their attention on the QNAP TS-453E NAS and the QHora-322 Router. This open and transparent testing environment allows QNAP to review the security of its product architecture, identify potential risks early, and further strengthen its defense mechanisms.
