QNAP participates in Pwn2Own Ireland 2025, demonstrating ongoing commitment to product security improvement

NAP participated in “Pwn2Own Ireland 2025” held in Cork, Ireland.

This event is hosted by Trend Micro’s Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) and brings together top security researchers from around the world to examine and report vulnerabilities across diverse categories such as smart home devices, NAS, and SOHO routers. It is one of the world’s leading cybersecurity competitions. This year’s total prize pool reached $2 million, with a record-breaking $1 million bounty set for a zero-click attack on WhatsApp.

QNAP’s Participation Highlights

During this competition, multiple research teams conducted attack tests targeting the QNAP TS-453E NAS and QHora-322 router. Such open and transparent evaluations provide opportunities to verify QNAP’s security design, identify potential risks early, and further strengthen product defenses.
