QNAP QM2-2P-384A + Samsung 990 Pro M.2 NVMe 4TB

Hello community,

I’m planning to upgrade my QNAP NAS by adding three 4TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe M.2 SSDs as a cache.

My NAS is the TS-h1277AXU-RP model, which already has two built-in M.2 slots. The compatibility list supports the Samsung 990 Pro for those. For the third drive, I’ll use the QM2-2P-384A expansion card, but when I checked its SSD compatibility, I didn’t see support for the Samsung 990 Pro.

I’d like to confirm if the Samsung 990 Pro M.2 Nvme 4TB works with the QM2-2P-384A before I buy it—can anyone help?

Many thanks for your time!

Regarding your request, we will arrange for our laboratory to conduct the relevant compatibility tests. We’ll update you once we have the results.

In the meantime, if any other users have tried the same model, feel free to share your experience!

Thanks!

Thanks for the support.

Yesterday, a customer lent me the QM2-2P-344A expansion card. I tested it with two Samsung 990 Pro 4TB SSDs, and the QNAP device recognized the full drive capacity. I think the QM2-2P-384A will work the same as the QM2-2P-344A.

Thanks for your feedback!

We will update the compatibility list once our internal testing is complete. Much appreciated!
