Hi i am wanting to install wifi on my TS-464 but can only find clones of the AX200 that is recommended/shown as compatible. I read that the AX210 (GC-WBAX210) “should” work but it appears that it is not auto detected hence will need SSH manual driver install.
has anyone installed wifi drivers manually before? i have not and can access the SSH and get to the prompt but putting in commands like “lspci” does nothing. Or should i just get an AX200 clone and try my luck? Or maybe there another option i have not thought of..
Please never ever use WiFi cards or sticks in your NAS, if you HAVE to use your NAS through wifi (it’s slow, do NOT do this), use a wifi bridge (built into most range extenders with a LAN port)
Regarding the network connection status you reported, to ensure connection quality and stability, we recommend considering the use of a Wi-Fi Extender. Thanks!
You are WAY better off not using WiFi. The maximum speed you will get out of WiFi is maybe 300 Mbps or so. Connect your NAS directly to your router and you will get 1 Gbit - over 3 times faster…
