Hello. Please help. I need to reinstall the firmware. I followed the instructions (Restoring firmware in the built-in flash memory (DOM) of a drive
on an Intel processor), but an error occurred.
In the command line, enter the following commands:
sudo su
fdisk –l
You only need to prepare 1 USB flash drive instead of two. The NAS recovery image file can be copy to the root directory of the Clonezilla USB flash drive you made.
In the command line, you should be able to find the recover image file in the path /live/image/ instead of /lib/live/mount/medium/
Please let me know if you still have any question after trying it.
Hello,
Thanks for your information.
May I know the Clonezilla version that you download and use and please run the command below and post the command output?
df -h
In addition, you can also refer to the firmware recovery link and do it again.
It’s great to hear that you complete the first step successfully.
You mentioned that NAS does not start after copying the firmware. QTS 4.3.4.1976 build 20220303. May I know whether you really perform the copy action?
Please be aware that you should perform the firmware update instead of copying the firmware. QTS 4.3.4.1976 build 20220303 to the NAS directly.
I did a firmware update. After the update, the NAS did not boot. And I followed the instructions - NAS Recovery Guide for TS-453Bmini, TS-269 Pro, TS-269L, TS-x79, TS-x70, TS-x80, TS-ECx80U, SS-ECx79U.
After successfully connecting the file with the firmware and copying it after the command (cp dom.img /dev/sdb) I saw that the command was being executed, and after 2-3 minutes it offered to enter a new command. According to the instructions, I rebooted NAS.
I can’t do a firmware update because it won’t boot. Access only via PowerShell.
Problem solved. Your instructions work. I made a mistake in the firmware file I was using. With the correct file, the program was updated and the NAS started.
Thanks for your help and have a nice day. ))))))))))
