I d like to ask if the QNAP TS-832PXU-RP-4G working properly with disks ST12000NT01.

At the official site the specific dick doesn’t exist but the chatgpt said yes.

Will be very helpfully if someone know something about this topic

Never trust AI slop, but in this case it’s a CAT2 NAS, so there is no disk size restriction and the disk itself if a NAS rated Ironwolf Pro 12TB

I found the model “ST12000NT001” on our compatibility list.

Thanks DolbyMan, just for info, if you change all disks , this specific qnap turn by it shelf automatically to factory reset and you have to set from scratch

If you replaced all the drives, then turn the unit on, yes, you have to configure from scratch. The operating system and configuration is on the drives.

You could perform a “replace one-by-one” option under some conditions to replace / upgrade the drives and storage capacity.
