Qnap ts-832xu-rp say error in disk 8 but all the test says is ok

Qnap TS-832XU-RP
firmware: QTS 5.2.3.3006
Disks : 8 Disks WDC WD103kfbx-68cclno 10tb
The system was already configure when i begin to use. Initial configuration have 8 seagate disk 6tb. The slot number 8 have marked the disk with Error.
Updgrade the disk to the WD 10TB. Fill all the bays. create a raid only with the bays 1 to 7. The bay 8 was to be used as a spare disk.
this was configured about 3 month ago. Now the qnap says the bay 8 disk have
Disk Acces History (i/o) errors. And the disk is marked Error. The WDDA of the disk say is ok, and the Smart information also says is ok.
Run the 2 test and says all is ok.
The disk continue to be mark as ERROR.
What is the problem, the bay 8?

Could be a defective slot…did you buy the NAS used ?

The Qnap sometimes remembers the history on a slot even with a new disk. Do a bad sector check on the disk and agree in the box to reset the history when it finds no errors. That should solve the issue unless there is a problem with your nas hardware…

To figure out if this is a hard drive issue or a problem with the slot, we’ll need to investigate further. Please open a support ticket with our Support Team; they’ll be able to help you with this. Thanks!
