Hello, i am new to the Qnap world, recently i acquired a used QNAP TS-853u-RP, after setting up i am trying to copy files from a PC directly into the Qnap machine using QFinder pro . When i drag the files into the folder i get a message sayin i am not authorized to do so. ( i am using a PC ) win 11
i have gone into Control Panel > Privilege > Shared Folders. and authorized read and write to everyone and still cant copy. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Don’t do it that way, mount shares to the PC and transfer files that way
It may be a Windows 11 credentialing issue. If you get into Windows Credentialing and delete every credential associated with your new NAS and its IP address and start over, Windows will ask you to reenter the login and password combo one again.
Oh I read Qfile Pro..not Qfinder
I always forget that people (for whatever reason) use Qfinder to mount shares (not needed)
