Taipei, Taiwan, October 13, 2025 – QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading innovator in computing, networking, and storage solutions, today released Virtualization Station 4.1.0, introducing the Virtual Machine High Availability (HA) feature in its Beta version. QNAP invites users to participate in the Beta Test Program to experience firsthand the high availability architecture for virtual machines with minimal downtime. Participants who submit feedback will have a chance to win a TR-004 JBOD!

Virtualization Station now includes the new High Availability (HA) feature, combining the ZFS architecture of QuTS hero with real-time synchronization technology SnapSync, to provide automatic protection and seamless failover between two NAS devices. This feature also supports various failure detection conditions as well as bidirectional protection, ensuring a quick transition to a backup NAS in the event of a failure, so business operations can continue without interruption.

“Virtualization Station 4 is a trusted NAS virtualization platform for enterprise IT teams,” said Oliver Lam, QNAP Product Manager, adding, “With VM HA, IT staff can be more confident in maintaining business continuity even in the event of a host failure, making it ideal for SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) to enhance the resilience and sustainability of their critical services.”

Note: The Virtual Machine HA Beta feature in Virtualization Station 4.1 is only supported on NAS models with QuTS hero version 5.3.0 or higher. QTS is not supported.
