Great to see that there is now an option to Qsirch PC Edition which allows to perform qsirch searches directly from Windows clients - What is the roadmap to release for macOS?
AGREED!!! It’s already available for the iPhone. Should not be that hard to port it to MacOS.
Qsirch is absolutely amazing and I wish it was on my Mac!
Thank you for your feedback and interest in Qsirch PC Edition.
To help us properly evaluate the development plan and understand your requirements more accurately, could you please confirm how you intend to use Qsirch?
- Local file indexing on a Windows PC or Mac or
- Searching NAS files from a macOS device using Qsirch
Thank you in advance, and we look forward to your reply.
It would be great if Qsirch could index local files on my Mac. But absolutely I would be using it to search for files on my NAS.
My primary use case would be option 2) Searching NAS files from a macOS device using Qsirch - based on that I have several hundreds of gb pdf documents which I would like to be able to search from the local Mac and don’t have to login to the NAS itself.
Option 1 is also of interest and if it’s something similar to what we have via the webgui on the NAS or similar to for example Copernic Desktop Search for Windows. Then that would absolutely be of interest.
Well, unfortunately the iOS app for QSirch is being phased out. They refer to the Qfile pro app, but there is no QSirch functionality…. Amateurism…..
Where do you see that Qsirch for iOS is being phased out? It was last updated a week ago.
When
You login to the iOS app. I attached a screenshot. It’s in Dutch. Below the translation.
Qsirch Mobile App End of Service (EOS) notification
The Qsirch mobile app will reach the end of service on 2026/3/31. Updates to this version of Qsirch will only be critical security updates, and Qsirch may be removed from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store in the future.
You can continue to use Qsirch after the end of service. However, you can also use Qfile Pro to view and …
[Checkbox] Do not show this again
[Button] Install Qfile Pro
Yep. I see that now.
Well, if QFilePro is incorporating all the Qsirch functions, then that is great. I don’t really have a problem with that.
