Security Updates

  • Applied multiple security updates to further enhance system security.

New Features

Control Panel

  • Added support for the AI accelerators QAI-M100 and QAI-U100. For details on compatible NAS models, see Compatibility List - QNAP

Enhancement

App Center

  • Enhanced the App Center user interface by adding a new “Pending Actions” section to help users identify apps that require additional setup before use.

Network & Virtual Switch

  • Optimized the user interface for configuring interfaces, virtual switches, VLAN, WiFi, and IPv4 and IPv6 settings. The IPv4 and IPv6 configuration pages now include DNS settings.
  • When configuring the IPv6 connection type with “Auto-Configuration (Stateless)”, users can now select “Generate a SLAAC address with a secret key” for a more secure way to generate the IPv6 address.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed an issue where Storage & Snapshots would stop responding when loading the management window of a static volume with an “Error” status.
  • Resolved an issue for some users where the NAS could not detect the QNA-UC5G1T network adapter.
  • Fixed an issue where changes made to the “php.ini” file were not applied after restarting the NAS web server.
  • Fixed an issue where testing the NTP server connection would sometimes fail even though the connection was healthy.
  • Resolved an issue where users accessing their NAS via SMB might fail to access searched files if Qsirch was installed on the NAS.
  • Updated the “Backup/Restore” page in Help Center. Corrected the default password information in the “Restore to Factory Default” section.
  • Addressed an issue where the NAS might suddenly restart on its own under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed an issue where, under certain circumstances, users could not successfully install Hyper Data Protector after joining the NAS to an LDAP domain.
  • Fixed an issue in iSCSI & Fibre Channel where users could use hyphens (-) when editing the name of an existing LUN, which should not be allowed.
  • Corrected a typo in an SNMP response.
  • Fixed an issue where users could not see the link bar on the login screen even after enabling “Show the link bar” in “Control Panel > System > General Settings > Login Screen”.
  • Fixed an issue to ensure the system can reliably store up to 10 backup system configuration files.
  • Resolved an issue where Control Panel could not display system information when Resource Monitor was open.

Updated my TS-264.
The NAS and all Apps are running correctly.

I am facing an issue with fan speed on my QM2 card after this update. Fan speed stuck at a low RPM and I’m getting temp warning/errors for the NVME drives on this card. Ticket opened.

UPDATE: I’ve rebooted and the fan speed on the QM2 ramped up. But so did the SYS and CPU fans and they’re not stuck running fast. Something is wonky with the fan/temp controls with this fw.

Model TVS-882
QM2-2P10G1TB

Please tell us NAS model, op system, etc.

Updated today’s morning.
The SMB is not ok now:
Samsung Android is not able to discover the server and is not able to get access to shares. Windows PC showing weird shares name like ‘\Public’ instead of as it was before, just ‘Public’. Tried to stop/start SMB, did not help.
How to fix SMB?

image
Heh, what’s wrong with encoding? Its Cyrillic, again, before update all was fine.

Even more: one docker container failed, in logs were records about write errors. Fixed by app removal, all prune, then create again.
Then, samba, fixed by ssh: tried to smb2status, says stopped, then tried …smb.sh restart, shown access errors to cache drive. Stopped by UI, then manually deleted all the dirs the samba was complaining, then started again, voila! Now finally samba is all fine.
But…
Why Customer has to fix that?

ok first post on this, miss the old one, lets hope that here we have support.

Just drop to say hi, and waiting for update with the new firmware, i will wait a few days more as i see posts with problems

Updated, no visible issues at the moment

Update went as expected, no problems.

Upgraed all 7 NAS’s today/ Since the update the TVS-h1288x and the TVS-h1688x about every hour get "User admin failed to lo log in from IP xxx.xxx.xxx.x.xx which is my external static IP. Admin user is disabled.

Do you use Qfile/Qsync? I have Qfile Pro on my android phone and Chromebook to Qsync files between them and the NAS and will get a rash of those errors periodically with the IP addresses of those devices. The fix is to log out and re-login from each of them.

Use Qfile on both my phones. I will reboot both and see if that solves it. Thanks!

Rebooting caused it to happen as soon as one of my phones came back. I will log out and log back in. This definitely seems to be a bug since the failed log ins are for “admin”.

Did not fix it.

Updated my TS-364.
The NAS and all Apps are running correctly.

Fixed! I feel stupid to admit someone was trying to hack me and I thought it was from my static IP xxx.xxx.xxx.242 his was similar and ended in xxx.xxx.xxx.224. I blocked forever. Everything running great on all 7 NAS’s with latest firmware.

Hi.
I have brand new TS-832PXU-RP, cpu AL324 ARM Cortex-A57, 4 GB RAM.
QTS 5.2.5.3145 installed.
Single ethernet port with IP from DHCP.
SSH enabled.
Creating first storage pool on two disks with RAID 1.
Resyncing started.
After about 2 hours an error occurs:

Internal error: Oops: 96000007 [#1] SMP
CPU: 0 PID: 18588 Comm: flush_memory.sh Tainted: P O 4.2.8 #2

Always “flush_memory.sh”.
From this point on the web interface is not responding, only SSH.
No response to reboot command.
At the same time, resyncing is still working and completes without errors.

Only the following command has effect: kill -9 -1.
And it takes 13-14 minutes to restart the server.

Does anyone know what’s going on?

EDIT: This error occurs independently every day around 1am.

Never seen this…maybe just kill the server (erase all disks) and try again from scratch

Yes, I’m trying from scratch for the fifth time… Does anyone know what the factory firmware version was?

Factory firmware would depend on when the unit was made.

Try downgrading to a lower firmware or open a ticket
