Security Updates

Applied multiple security updates to further enhance system security.

New Features
Control Panel
When performing a firmware update, you can now choose to automatically install required app updates, ensuring a smooth app experience after the firmware update is complete.

Enhancement
Control Panel
Added a setting in “Control Panel > System > Hardware > General” that allows users to enable or disable the IR sensor on supported NAS models.

Domain Security
Simplified the setup process for Azure Single Sign-on (SSO) and updated the feature name to “Microsoft Entra ID Single Sign-on (SSO)”.

NFS Serviece
Adjusted the default settings for NFS host access to enhance the security of NFS exports.

Fixed Issues
Fixed an issue where, under certain conditions, domain users could not copy certain files despite having the correct permissions.
Resolved an issue where, if domain users had been assigned delegated roles, “Control Panel > Privilege > User Groups” would display an empty list unless users manually refreshed it.

Updated my TS-464 successfully but now when I ssh to the NAS I get the following error:
xxxx@192.168.xx.xx’s password:
Could not chdir to home directory /share/homes/dazz: No such file or directory

and the /share/homes has in fact gone. Immediately before the update this error wasn’t occurring.

I’m new to QNAP NASes so maybe this is a known issue?

I think you use not the “admin” for SSH. Then it is normally.

Updated my TS-231K, TS-328 and TS-453Be this morning. No issues noticed (yet, at least) with any of them.

OK. But my point is why is it coming up at all for a directory that doesn’t exist when prior to the update it wasn’t? How can I resolve/fix this?

Installed on all 7 models this morning. So far no issues. Might be false impression, but it seems to be more CPU efficient!

TS-473, 4x WD Red 4 TB, 16GB FW: Latest.
When the latest was installed i had a corrupt MariaDB10. I had to reïnstall it and recover a backup to get everything working again. I remember i had this last time too.

TS-262 - Problems:

Lost SSD Cache, 2 M.2 disks (RAID1) are now visible as RaidGroup2 and cannot assign it to DataVol as SSD Cache
Virtualization station does not load in UI (i can run VM from ssh session)

TS-253A had performance issues.
My linux VM sometimes did not even boot due to CPU starvation.

rcu_preempt detected stalls on CPUs/tasks

Even when it did boot ping was fluctuating between 2ms and 4000ms.

I fallback to 5.2.6.3229.

Guys you need to fix the backend config - not showing up in Control Panel or the Download Center for the TS-451D2 (or I suspect any of the x53D range)
