Applied multiple security updates to further enhance system security.

New Features
Control Panel
When performing a firmware update, you can now choose to automatically install required app updates, ensuring a smooth app experience after the firmware update is complete.
Enhancement
Control Panel
Added a setting in “Control Panel > System > Hardware > General” that allows users to enable or disable the IR sensor on supported NAS models, helping reduce unexpected system restarts that the IR sensor may cause.
Domain Security
Simplified the setup process for Azure Single Sign-on (SSO) and updated the feature name to “Microsoft Entra ID Single Sign-on (SSO)”.
NFS Serviece
Adjusted the default settings for NFS host access to enhance the security of NFS exports.

Fixed Issues
Fixed an issue where, under certain conditions, domain users could not copy certain files despite having the correct permissions.
Resolved an issue where, if domain users had been assigned delegated roles, “Control Panel > Privilege > User Groups” would display an empty list unless users manually refreshed it.
Fixed an issue where, when a container service port was connected via a USB-to-LAN adapter, disconnecting the LAN cable would cause the port to become inaccessible.
Fixed an issue on certain NAS models where, after a firmware update, the system might incorrectly indicate that some disks have been removed.
Improved startup stability for certain NAS models.

Updated my TS-251+. Looks fine.

Found a UI bug though: Control Panel → System → Backup/Restore.

Even if nothing was altered on this page, navigating away from it to another Control Panel item (like External Device) causes a prompt: “Control Panel. Are you sure you want to leave without saving changed settings?” - even though I haven’t changed any settings.

I just updated my TS-451A and it seems to run without any problems…

Regarding the issue I reported earlier: it seems this is caused by the Dark Reader extension I use in Firefox. It modifies the colours of the webpage, but I suspect it’s also triggering some part of the QTS JavaScript that runs on this page causing it to think a setting has been modified by the user. If I disable the extension for this page, there’s no problem.

I’ve advised QNAP of my findings in the support ticket.

I wasn’t aware of this update until I logged onto QManager on my phone and then it started automatically downloading the firmware update. I logged out again and then it stopped. I haven’t got auto update turned on and when I logged on the web interface it didn’t try to auto update…Not sure what is going on. I’m currently on QTS 5.2.7.3256. I will log the issue with QNAP.

Updated my beloved TS-253D.

Qnap is amazing. This NAS is stable as a rock and never let me down.

Just upgraded. Keep in mind it does some weird update (after the upgrade) with the SMB so for 1-2 minutes no shares are available
