I just happened to notice that there are apps that show up in the App Center for my QTS NAS that don’t show up for my QuTS Hero NAS. Are the “missing” apps not compatible with Hero? Not that I am using these, but I just found it interesting…
Just so you know, we generally ensure that our software runs properly on its corresponding platforms before release.
Do you have any specific needs? We’re curious to know which app you’re hoping to install on QTS or QuTS hero. Understanding your goal might help us assist you better!
Understood. This primarily comes down to our planning for the positioning of different systems. If you have any specific needs, please feel free to share them with us!
That is a fairly obtuse answer that doesn’t answer the question. But forget it. I am going to assume that all apps run on both OSes. If there’s an app I want to try that does not show up in the Hero app center, I’ll download and install it manually.
My apologies if I misunderstood your previous message.
It appears the apps you mentioned are all third-party software. We require third-party vendors to thoroughly test their software on specific platforms before listing them on our App Center.
Therefore, if a third-party vendor only tests on a particular platform, we will only make that app available on that specific platform.
