Hello! I use Qumagie to tag photos and videos so the archives are easily searchable. All in all, it’s working nicely but there are some annoyances which i think would be easily fixable
When doing advanced search or creating smart albums using keyword tags, it is no longer possible (after 2.7.0 update) to just type in the tags. Instead, i have to scroll down the list to find the keywords (previously i could use “type ahead”)
Qsirch does not index Qumagie database which i find very odd. Especially as Qumagie does not write keywords + other metadata to the video files
Advanced search/smart albums, it is not possible to create a filter for rating which is “Equal to of greater than”. In practice, it means that rating of 1 is useless as i cannot filte on all photos/videos which are rated 1-5
It is not possible to create sub-albums
Hopefully the above could be taken into consideration for feature/fix pipeline

Yes, it looks like the current search options only support “greater than”, “equal to” and “less than” but not “greater than or equal to” or “less than or equal to”.
I have tried Google Photos, Apple iCloud Photos, and a few other similar cloud photo services, but none of them seem to offer a sub-album feature. May I ask which service you saw that functionality in?

I am not too familiar with Qsirch myself, so I can not give a direct answer.
However, I have forwarded these questions to the QuMagie and Qsirch teams for clarification. If there are any updates, they should follow up with a reply.
Hi there
Re: Sub-albums (just like subfolders) I do a lot of online training for various customers on different topics. It would be very helpful if it was possible to, for example, create parent smart folder for a particular customer (using keyword filters) and then, under that smart album, create child albums for the different training topics. The child smart album would inherit the filtering of parent album and then would allow you to add additional filtering to narrow down on the different topics.
Also, i use Qnap for private photos. I would love to be able to create a parent album for each country we have travelled to and then sub-albums for different cities or other categories. (Somewhat similar to keyword hierarchies in XNView)
