QuRouter 2.6.0 Beta Released -- Supports IPS and DDNSv6

We’re excited to announce the release of QuRouter 2.6.0 Beta, featuring support for IPS and DDNSv6.

Release note: QuRouter 2.6.0.239 build 20250625 Public Beta | Release Notes | QNAP (US)

QHora routers now offer IPS functionality free of charge. Businesses can simply enable SD-WAN services to easily benefit from enhanced network protection.

Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) is a proactive security technology designed to detect and block network threats in real time. By continuously inspecting packet signatures, it automatically blocks known malicious behavior. With a regularly updated threat signature database, QHora delivers fast and comprehensive protection—serving as the first line of defense for business networks.

Note: IPS must be configured through QuWAN Orchestrator. If QuWAN is not yet enabled on the router, please enable it first.

In addition to IPS, QHora also includes a suite of security features:

  • L3 and L7 Firewalls: From basic Layer 3 filtering to advanced application-layer protection powered by Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), enabling flexible firewall rule configuration.
  • GeoIP Blocking: Helps prevent connections from selected geographic regions.
  • Web Content Filtering: Enhances browsing safety in the workplace.

Give the new features a try and share your feedback with us!
