Presently I have a primary fibre PPPoE connection for my every day use on WAN1, and a mobile broadband router connected to WAN2 in modem mode for when my primary connection fails.
All major mobile networks in the UK use CGNAT, which is fine if you want to use your router on QuWAN in Edge Mode, but at the moment it’s not possible to join QuWAN in Hub mode whilst it detects any WAN behind a NAT.
Is it possible to exclude WAN2 from QuWAN so I can have the benefits of the Orchestrator and still have a local failover. I realise the Orchestrator wouldn’t receive any telemetry or be operable if the primary WAN goes down, and remote sites would lose access to the services on it, but I think that’s a decision that should be left to the network administrator.
Better yet, can the Orchestrator be made to work with CGNAT? This would allow small businesses to have an affordable failover in mobile broadband rather than having two separate fixed broadband connections.
