[Security Updates]

  • Applied multiple security updates to further enhance system security.

[Enhancement]
Desktop & Login

  • Enhanced email security by adding SSL certificate validation for SMTP servers in “Desktop > Personal Settings > Email Account”. Predefined providers now enforce validation automatically, while custom servers offer a configuration choice. If the certificate fails validation, the system blocks email delivery and displays an error message to prevent the use of untrusted certificates.

[Fixed Issues]

  • Fixed an issue where SnapSync jobs would fail when Container Station was installed.
  • Fixed an issue where iSCSI & Fibre Channel could not display LUNs or targets.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Add Users” dialog in folder permission settings could not display the Refresh icon.
  • Fixed an issue where the system could not display a correct error message for LUN snapshot revert failure when losing network connection.
  • Fixed an issue where calculating snapshot sizes would cause the system to stop responding.
  • Fixed an issue where the system would create an extra subfolder when users added database backup to a shared folder whose name ended with “$” (dollar sign).
  • Fixed an issue where the system could not create a correct RAID 50 configuration when expanding a Qtier storage pool.
  • Fixed an issue where the system did not display a clear error message when failing to export LUNs under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed an issue where users sometimes could not enable RAID bitmap after users expanded storage pools by replacing disks.
  • Fixed an issue where NAS bootup time would be prolonged when the NAS had 24 QDA-U2MP adapters fully populated with disks.
  • Fixed an issue where the NAS could not detect disks installed on fully populated QDA-U2MP adapters.
  • Fixed an issue where the system log would still display log entries related to Storage Manager installation even after rebooting.
  • Fixed an issue where users could not resize a default shared folder.
  • Fixed an issue where users could not take snapshots after disabling “Root snapshot folder in File Station” in Snapshot Manager.
  • Fixed an issue where Dashboard would display a reminder even when LUN storage had not reached a threshold.
  • Fixed a rare issue that could cause high memory usage.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause the symbolic link of an external USB drive to disappear.
  • Fixed a rare issue that might occasionally cause a kernel panic after users updated QuTS hero from h5.2.5 to h5.3.0.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause synchronization issues after a failover in a high availability environment.
  • Fixed a rare issue that might occasionally cause a split-brain during switchover in a high availability environment.
  • Fixed an issue where Storage Manager would display SSD over-provisioning information when expanding a RAID group even if this group did not contain SSDs.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause system instability during large file transfers from an external HDD to the NAS.
  • Fixed an issue where the test schedule in the disk S.M.A.R.T. settings would allow invalid dates.
  • Fixed an issue where the system could not resume a storage pool expansion after importing this storage pool.
  • Fixed an issue where the system would also restore additional application data when restoring a system pool, thus interfering current application functionality.
  • Fixed an issue where Resource Monitor could not display the name or ID of disks installed on the TL-R1220Sep-RP expansion unit.
  • Fixed an issue where the system would send packets to external networks via 127.0.0.0/8 (loopback addresses).
  • Fixed an issue where users sometimes might not be able to restore network settings from an old NAS to a new NAS.
  • Fixed an issue where users could not perform a reverse DNS lookup via PTR from the localhost.
  • Fixed an issue where the system could not initialize Seagate IronWolf Pro 32TB ST32000NT000 drive.

QuTS hero h5.3.3.3424 build 20260305 | Release Notes | QNAP

i updated from 5.2.x to this firmware by accident. I grabbed the wrong file. Opps. Now I see the following notices about some apps. Any idea what to do?

Downgrad to QuTShero h5.2.9.x

Not all Apps are working with QuTShero h5.3.x

i have to check on downgrade, last time i tried to downgrade i got a warning about it not being supported or something to that nature.

I dont care about the top three apps as i hardly ever use those apps, but i do use qvr surveillance app. that seems to be working so not sure why it complaining about it.
