I know this is perhaps general feedback vs. the specific feature or bug, but given QNAP has now introduced Ryzen 9000-series CPUs, would be awesome to see a newer kernel than 6.6, perhaps more longevity w/ 6.12 for the newer CPU architectures, performance, power, and virtualization efficiencies? Particularly given the new AI features etc.
I have tested it very shortly and will not comment on new features / stability or how everything works as I already reverted back.
I would however like to say that the new look of the interface does not look that great to me. In fact I disliked it very much. Low contrast, extremely bright and with little to no visual structure. This is not even about looks alone but also about usability as some pages like storage manager were just bright white with little to no subdivisions which is not helpful.
I understand this is still an early beta so maybe there is some hope. How about adding some legacy option that is more like 5.x or the ability to chose different accent colors that might help with contrast?
Until then I am quite happy with the looks and functionality of 5.2.8.3321 - it mostly provides decent contrast and differentiation and also subdivision of multiple entries like in Storage & Snapshots. I would have hoped that a redesign would allow for some bigger or smaller fonts across the system and a streamlining of the looks of the apps. For example virtualization station looks quite a bit different from the control panel or file station and it might have been a good goal to streamline this instead of going for a new look in certain areas while keeping others the same:
So far, I do like the UI improvements, nice icons, etc.
The best feature is the fact that, for me, the Folders are opening much faster on the web interface.
