I am having issues with NFS mounts not working at all. SMB work fine. NFS does not it lags and hangs the entire time. Even rebooting causes my NAS to have to be forced shut down. Ts-h686. Even on new shared folders with ACLs wiped causes the same issue. SMB even is having issues with shared permissions but not as bad as NFS. I’ve had to stop using NFS entirely.
Hi Prox69, it is serious for sure. Would you please file a ticket of NAS Help Desk and share the system log with us from there? We shall analyze the problem further. Thank you!
Ive opened a ticket but they’ve provided only solution is to re-initialize. Which isn’t an option.
Also I’ve noticed another issue where the USB external I have set up has been duplicated like 8 times but it’s all the same folder.
I think I may have found the issue or at least a way to repeat it. I’ve mounted two NFS shares in fstab with rw,noacl, noatime. By itself both NFS work fine now after I completely cleared the NFS shares of any ACL’s. However when I move a file from one NFS mounted share lets say /share/Pictures/file.png to /share/Downloads it completely locks up NFS service on Quts hero h6. It seems that it won’t allow permission setting.
If you locally copy a file then move it into a NFS share dolphin in kde freaks out saying it can’t be moved but then the file is posted to the share anyway. It seems quts doesnt want permission changes.
Hi, thanks so much for the detailed feedback.
Based on your report, we’ve successfully reproduced the issue! We will be working on a fix for a future release. Thanks again for your help!
