Firefox H.265 Limitation: Firefox’s WebCodecs API currently does not support H.265 (HEVC) decoding. Please use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge if your camera streams use H.265.
HTTPS Required: W3C specifications require HTTPS for hardware-accelerated decoding. You must access the client via HTTPS (with the correct port, e.g., 443), even on local networks.
Installation: Please install the client via the QTS App Center. Direct integration into the QVR Surveillance app is planned for a future release.
How to get the Beta 2 update:
I will send a direct message with the new download link to all previous Beta 1 participants.
If you haven’t joined yet and would like to participate in the Beta 2 trial, please leave a reply below, and I will provide the link to you!
So biggest issue so far: If you click the QVR Web app in Application Manager, it attempts to open the website under http and not https. It should like to the secure port appropriately.
It looks like there’s no text there but there is. It’s just grey and very, very light. If you blow up the pic you can see it but barely. Expand the picture below and you can see it says 10:25:23 between the live button and the muted speaker icon
To have an adaptive webview for mobile device are bit pain actually. It somehow means to design another version of the application in a very limited space.
While we doing UT our focus are on PC/mac browser so we’re not really test mobile devices for beta, so thanks. For the colors you pointing out we could fix them, and finding some way to ensure https are used in “App Center”
I understand that an adaptive web view for mobile is a pain. I do some of my own development in that space. And I’m not complaining about anything in that other than the text color. Some text color other than light gray on a black background should be fine and shouldn’t be too hard to update.
