Expanding Fisheye Camera Applications: Real-Time Regional Fisheye Dewarping and Face Recognition
Fisheye cameras provide wide-area surveillance coverage, but image distortion around the edges may affect face recognition performance. QVR Face 2.3.0 supports real-time regional fisheye dewarping and face recognition, allowing users to correct and analyze specific image regions. This helps reduce recognition blind spots when using fisheye cameras and further expands the flexibility of a single device in entrances and exits, open spaces, and wide-area surveillance environments.
More Flexible Data Classification: Add Profiles to Multiple Groups
In real-world management scenarios, the same person may belong to multiple departments, access groups, or application categories. QVR Face 2.3.0 allows profiles to be added to multiple groups, enabling administrators to classify and manage personnel data more flexibly while improving the maintenance efficiency of large face databases. For example, the same employee can be categorized as a “Headquarters Employee,” a member of the “R&D Department,” and part of a “VIP Access List,” making subsequent searches, filtering, and event-based applications more convenient.
Enhanced Cross-System Event Integration: Real-Time Detection Variables for Event URLs and Custom Event Delivery to Nx Witness
QVR Face 2.3.0 enhances cross-system event integration by allowing Event URLs to include real-time detection variables. Users can send recognition results, event information, and related detection variables to third-party platforms, event dashboards, access control systems, or other automated workflows, improving the flexibility and presentation of surveillance events.
This update also provides deeper integration with Nx Witness. You can use QVR Face to perform face recognition and then send recognition events and detection variables to an existing Nx Witness system. This enables sites that have already deployed Nx VMS to create more customized event notifications and surveillance workflows, further improving system integration and event management efficiency. (Nx VMS event integration requires a version of Nx Witness VMS that supports the REST Generic Event API.)
