The QVR Human 2.6 series introduces the new Area Stay detection task, enabling surveillance systems to track not only where people are, but also how long they remain in a specific area.
- Detect abnormal stays in real time: Monitor dwell behavior within designated areas and trigger alerts when configured conditions are met, helping administrators quickly identify suspicious or unusual activity.
- View dwell-time trends at a glance: Use reports to review dwell duration and trends over time, going beyond individual event alerts.
- Support both security and business use cases: In addition to warehouses and restricted areas, Area Stay can also be used in retail environments to identify customer dwell hotspots and optimize store layouts and traffic flow.

Building on the Area Intrusion detection feature introduced in an earlier release, the QVR Human 2.6 series now integrates related data into Overview and Reports, allowing users to monitor both current events and longer-term trends.
