Detect unusual stay behavior with the new “Area Stay” task
Besides detecting whether a person enters a defined area, knowing how long they stay there can offer valuable insights into unusual behavior and area usage. The QVR Human 2.6 series introduces the new detection task Area Stay. With this feature, surveillance systems can not only detect where people are, but also how long they remain in a certain area.
- Detect unusual stays in real time: Monitor the dwell time in defined areas and trigger alerts as soon as configured conditions are met, allowing administrators to quickly identify suspicious or unusual activities.
- Spot dwell-time trends at a glance: Use reports to analyze dwell times and time-based trends – extending insights beyond individual event alerts.
- Suitable for security and business scenarios: In addition to warehouses and restricted areas, Area Stay can also be used in retail to highlight zones with high customer dwell time and optimize store layouts and visitor flows.

More AI performance with NVIDIA RTX 20 to 50 series GPUs
For environments with multiple camera streams and simultaneously running AI detection tasks, the QVR Human 2.6 series now offers support for NVIDIA RTX 20, 30, 40, and 50 series GPUs. Hardware acceleration boosts the performance of AI-powered video analytics.

Building on the previously introduced Area Intrusion detection feature, the QVR Human 2.6 series now integrates these data into Overview and Reports. This lets users monitor both current events and long-term developments.
- Quickly assess event status: Check Area Intrusion statistics in Overview for a direct snapshot of current activity.
- Track long-term intrusion trends: Use reports and visualized data to compare events across time periods, supporting future security decisions and measures.
Improved usability and system stability
