QVR Pro 2.6.1 now supports the QuTS hero platform

Previously, we received requests to have the QVR surveillance service run on the QuTS hero platform, which supports larger capacities.

After receiving sufficient feedback during the open beta in September, we are now officially releasing QVR service support for the hero platform.

Due to the characteristics of surveillance systems, we have set the default recording volume to Thick Volume. Before actually storing recordings, the system will pre-allocate space exclusively for QVR Pro, ensuring that hard drive space is not overwhelmed by video files. Although it is possible to switch back to Thin Volume later, this change is not recommended.

For environments where QVR Pro QPKG is manually installed on QuTS hero, software updates can be performed directly through AppCenter without uninstalling the existing QVR Pro.

Additionally, regarding camera compatibility, we have added support for Edge Recording functionality for Dahua and Hikvision cameras: When a memory card is inserted in the camera, if the connection between QVR and the camera is interrupted, the edge recording feature can be activated. Once the connection is restored, missing footage can be automatically retrieved from the camera’s memory card.
